Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable software solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Your responsibilities will include:
- Software Design & Development: Define, design, and develop robust software applications and systems that adhere to best practices in software engineering.
- Cloud Services Development: Build cloud-based services that leverage the full potential of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security.
- End-to-End Software Lifecycle Management: Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from design, coding, and debugging to quality assurance and production deployment.
- Scalable Architecture Implementation: Develop distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems to handle massive healthcare data workloads efficiently.
- Big Data Processing & Optimization: Work with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and MapReduce to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization: Improve system performance by optimizing data pipelines for higher throughput and lower latency.
- Containerization & Microservices Development: Leverage microservices architecture and container platforms to ensure high availability and scalability.
- DevOps & CI/CD Practices: Implement and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) workflows for streamlined software delivery.
- Observability & Monitoring: Use monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, and OCI monitoring solutions to ensure system health and reliability.
What You Bring to the Team
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on highly scalable products and services.
- Expertise in Java and JVM-based languages with a deep understanding of multithreading, parallel processing, and performance tuning.
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce, and Crunch.
- Hands-on experience in building high-performance, secure, and scalable cloud services.
- Familiarity with container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and version control systems (Git/SVN).
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and automation frameworks.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Splunk, New Relic, and OCI monitoring tools.
Preferred Skills & Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working in cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, relational databases, and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design solutions for large-scale applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud application development.
