Position Overview
Deloitte is actively seeking an experienced Workday SCM Functional Senior Consultant to join its Enterprise, ERP, and Cloud Transformation practice. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in ERP consulting, financial systems implementation, and functional knowledge of Workday SCM and Financial Management modules.
You’ll play a key role in implementing Workday’s Financial Management solutions, supporting clients from requirement gathering to go-live and beyond. Key Responsibilities
As a Workday SCM Functional Senior Consultant, your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle of Workday Financials and SCM implementations. This includes system design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business needs, translate them into functional requirements, and configure the Workday Financial Management platform accordingly.
- Lead or support various phases of implementation projects from planning to execution.
- Configure and test key business processes within Workday such as:
- Procure-to-Pay
- Order-to-Cash
- General Ledger
- Fixed Asset Management
- Budgeting
- Grants and Awards
- Collaborate with onsite teams to facilitate requirements gathering sessions and contribute to solution architecture and design planning.
- Create and deliver custom reports as required for business users.
- Assist integration teams in designing, validating, and testing integrations between Workday and external systems.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and provide end-user support.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of client deliverables across multiple workstreams.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, test cases, and training material.
About the Team
The Enterprise ERP Solutions (EERPS) team at Deloitte focuses on helping clients transform their finance and supply chain operations through cutting-edge cloud ERP solutions such as Workday and Infor. The team delivers strategic advice and implementation support, specializing in both Financials and SCM, with deep domain expertise tailored for industry-specific transformations. Deloitte’s US-India (USI) team plays an integral role from pre-sales through post-production support.
Required Experience and Skills
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience in consulting or relevant industry roles with a strong focus on ERP implementations and business process optimization.
- Hands-on experience with at least 1-2 full lifecycle ERP implementations.
- Foundational knowledge of financial accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in presentation tools such as MS Visio and MS PowerPoint.
- Proficiency across multiple business process areas including:
- Procurement
- Order Management
- Fixed Assets
- General Ledger and Financial Reporting
- Budgeting and Planning
- Grant and Award Management
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and judgment capabilities.
- Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS and PaaS solutions.
Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- A Master’s Degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.
- Active Workday Certification is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong functional experience in Workday Financials or SCM.
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Proven ability to drive results and deliver value to clients.
- Client-facing experience with global or multinational projects.
