Educational Background:

Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BE/BTech)

Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management

Experience:

20+ years of proven expertise in QA/QC for large-scale EPC, DBO, or turnkey civil infrastructure projects

Certifications:

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (essential)

Certified Quality Management professional with training from reputed institutions

Business Excellence Assessor certification preferred

Certifications in Precast/Prestressed Concrete technology and construction quality preferred

Preferred Exposure:

Experience with projects funded by international bodies such as the World Bank or Asian Development Bank (ADB)

Deep familiarity with Indian standards (IS codes, MoRTH, BIS, CPHEEO manual) and International benchmarks (ASTM, AWWA, ACI, BS, EN)

Practical expertise in concrete technology, advanced mix design techniques, and leveraging AI/ML tools to drive improvements in quality standards.

Competency in statistical quality tools such as SPC/SQC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Quality Leadership

Drive the overall QA/QC function in alignment with organizational goals and contractual requirements.

Oversee the development, execution, and monitoring of Project Quality Plans, QMS Manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure consistent quality practices across all phases—engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
2. Customer-Centric Quality Management

Lead initiatives to enhance the Customer Satisfaction Index through proactive engagement, analysis, and timely resolution of quality issues.

Address product deviations and customer complaints with effective root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive strategies.
3. Quality System Compliance and Auditing

Lead the implementation and seamless integration of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and other key quality certifications to ensure compliance and excellence across projects.

4. Business Excellence & Quality Awards

Act as the organization’s ambassador at prestigious national and international quality platforms and award programs such as FICCI, CII, Golden Peacock, and RBNQA.

Promote continuous improvement, benchmarking, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to elevate organizational performance.
5. Vendor Quality Assurance

Conduct vendor evaluations and QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) approvals for materials, equipment, and services.

Maintain robust oversight of supply chain quality, balancing cost-effectiveness with technical excellence.
6. Technology-Driven Quality Monitoring

Implement digital quality management tools to track KPIs, generate reports, and support real-time decision-making.

Leverage analytics, AI/ML models, and digital dashboards for data-driven quality insights and productivity enhancements.
7. Performance Management & Reporting

Present quality performance reviews to the leadership team with detailed reports, gap analysis, and corrective action plans.

8. Talent Development & Team Building

Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of QA/QC professionals across multiple project locations.

9. Risk-Based Quality Planning

Formulate quality control strategies using risk-based approaches to prevent defects and enhance reliability.

10. Resource Optimization
