In the role of Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of significant strategic accounts, with a primary focus on the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) sector. Your mission will be to deliver consistent business growth by leading client engagements, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence across service delivery.
This position is ideal for individuals with strong financial services knowledge, a global business perspective, and the proven ability to scale enterprise accounts.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Management
- Assume full responsibility for key BFS accounts and implement comprehensive, end-to-end strategies to drive account growth and success.

Lead annual planning activities, ensuring alignment with client business goals.

Cultivate long-term relationships with client stakeholders including C-suite executives, business heads, and operational leaders.

Establish Wipro as a trusted advisor through proactive engagement and high-value solutioning.
2. Revenue Growth & Upselling

Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying new business streams within existing accounts.

Develop go-to-market (GTM) plans to position Wipro’s service offerings as critical enablers of client success.

Identify white space opportunities and transform them into scalable business engagements.
3. Client Engagement & Relationship Building

Strengthen client engagement beyond the CIO’s office, targeting strategic business units and domain-specific leaders.

Build a trusted network of referable contacts within the client organization who can advocate for Wipro.

Conduct regular executive meetings, workshops, and value-driven presentations to showcase capabilities and build rapport.
4. Delivery Governance

Collaborate closely with internal delivery teams to ensure high-quality execution of client projects.

Conduct ongoing delivery reviews to mitigate risks, prevent cost/schedule overruns, and ensure client satisfaction.

Track critical delivery performance indicators and promptly address any gaps to maintain high service quality standards.
5. Team Development & Leadership

Mentor junior account managers and support succession planning by developing the next layer of leadership within the account team.

6. Client Advocacy & Satisfaction

Champion the voice of the customer within Wipro and lead initiatives to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.

7. Operational Excellence & Cost Optimization

🎯 Ideal Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, candidates should bring a unique blend of leadership, domain knowledge, and global delivery expertise.
✅ Basic Qualifications:

A graduate or postgraduate degree in Business, Technology, or a closely related discipline.

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in account management or client partner roles in IT services, with a strong focus on BFSI clients.
✅ Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to manage large account portfolios with annual revenues of $15 million or more.

Experience working with global service delivery models and offshore/nearshore teams.

Deep domain knowledge of banking and financial services, especially clients based in the UK.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to navigate complex client ecosystems.

Proven experience in value-led selling and account-based strategy implementation.
