Position Overview
Deloitte is looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Software Engineer proficient in .NET technologies, API integration, and SQL to contribute to its Global Employer Services Technology Center (GESTC) based in Hyderabad. This role offers the opportunity to drive enterprise-grade software development while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As a technical leader, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications that support Deloitte’s tax transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of applications using C# .NET.
- Build and integrate secure, scalable APIs and web services using Visual Studio and tools like Boomi.
- Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries, create efficient stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions to support application logic and performance.
- Utilize AWS native services such as Lambda, Glue, and Redshift for data operations and integrations.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, testers, and consultants to develop high-performance, user-friendly applications.
- Ensure all development activities meet coding and project standards, deadlines, and client expectations.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design reviews.
- Offer ongoing mentorship, technical direction, and collaborative support to empower team members in their daily responsibilities.
- Proactively evaluate workflows to uncover inefficiencies and introduce automation solutions that enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Maintain project documentation and escalate complex issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (B.Tech/B.Sc).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development within the IT industry.
- Strong programming skills in C#, ADO.NET, and .NET application development.
- Hands-on experience with JSON, XML, XSD, and web services.
- In-depth understanding of RESTful APIs and integration methodologies.
- Proficient in SQL Server, with ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
- Familiarity with AWS tools such as Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and hands-on experience with Agile practices to drive iterative and collaborative development.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high performance in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with integration platforms such as Boomi.
- Exposure to global mobility or tax domain is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud architecture and deployment strategies.
