Position Overview: Data Scientist – L3
Wipro is seeking a dynamic and analytical Data Scientist – L3 to join its Bengaluru team. This role is designed for a forward-thinking individual with strong capabilities in data analysis, machine learning, and AI model development. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative AI/ML solutions that solve real-world business challenges and contribute to Wipro’s digital transformation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Role in Solution Development & Market Enablement
- Play an active role in shaping and executing go-to-market strategies that align with business objectives.
- Assist in developing innovative solutions and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) aligned with Wipro’s key digital transformation offerings.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with colleges, institutes, and research bodies to support research initiatives and co-create data science course content.
2. Building & Operationalizing AI/ML Solutions
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models that serve both decision augmentation and automation objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with ML engineers, data engineers, and IT stakeholders to evaluate and implement optimal ML deployment methodologies.
- Ensure scalable, sustainable, and high-performance AI systems that align with client goals.
3. Leadership & Team Management
- Support the integration of new team members and provide guidance to nurture junior talent.
- Facilitate skill development and ongoing training to enhance team capability and effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and teamwork among data science professionals.

To measure success in this role, the following key performance indicators (KPIs) will be used:

Mandatory Skillset
- Data Analysis: Deep expertise in analyzing complex datasets and deriving meaningful insights that influence strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Strong command over programming languages such as Python and R.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and algorithm development.
- Experience in working with large-scale data systems and cloud-based ML deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of data science or related disciplines.
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in disciplines such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a comparable field of study.
- Prior experience in developing end-to-end ML models from concept to deployment.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
