Job Overview:

We require an experienced senior software engineer to develop, innovate, and expand our cloud-native distributed systems. As a key contributor, you will design, develop, debug, and resolve software programs in databases, applications, networks, and cloud infrastructure. The role offers an opportunity to drive technical projects, guide junior developers, and lead innovations that optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be:
Designing, developing, and enhancing cloud-based, scalable, and fault-tolerant software solutions.
Leading and contributing to the full software lifecycle, such as design, development, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and production operations.
Design effective and high-quality software designs that ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate new and innovative cloud capabilities.
Implement automation strategies for operational efficiency, logging, monitoring, and debugging.
Mentor and lead junior engineers technically.
Troubleshoot and fix complex issues in cloud-native environments.
Scale cloud infrastructure to be high-performing, scalable, and secure.
Evaluate and recommend on new technologies continuously.
Minimum Qualifications:
In order to be successful in this role, you need to possess:
4+ years of experience shipping cloud-native, scalable distributed systems.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting.
Proficiency in Core Java, C++, Python, and shell scripting.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Mesos, and Helm Charts.
Knowledge of GitHub, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Hudson, Maven, and Gradle.
Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), service-to-service communication, and microservices.
Knowledge of modern infrastructure components like service discovery, secret storage, and software-defined networking.
Deep knowledge of computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms.
Production operations, debugging, and troubleshooting experience in high-performance distributed systems.
Excellent communication skills to write technical proposals, design specs, and architecture diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science.
Experience working in a high–growth startup environment.
Experience building control plane/data plane solutions for cloud-native companies.
Competency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing performance problems in high-complexity environments.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
Cloud and ML technologies hands-on.
Data science and machine learning (not required but a plus).
