About the Role
As an Associate / Process Developer within the Retirement Function, your responsibilities will center around overseeing and facilitating key activities related to retirement, benefits, and participant management. This role requires an individual with extensive knowledge in retirement benefits and a deep understanding of plan management.
Key Responsibilities
In your role, you will handle various activities related to retirement and benefits, which include:
Enrolling Participants in Retirement Plans: Ensure that participants are successfully enrolled into retirement plans, keeping track of all necessary details like beneficiary information and processing requests such as loans, rollovers, and withdrawals.
Maintaining Contribution Records: Ensure accurate and timely updating of contribution records for retirement plan participants. This includes tracking contributions under the assigned retirement plan and making necessary updates.
Processing Payouts and Ad-Hoc Requests: Responsible for the accurate processing of payouts from retirement plans, including addressing any ad-hoc requests by participants.
Supporting Plan Sponsors: Provide assistance to plan sponsors with the administration of their retirement plans. This includes tasks such as calculating contributions, managing participant financial activity, and handling other complex record-keeping functions.
Reconciliation: Conduct reconciliation of funds and cash, both at the plan level and for individual participants. Perform thorough research to resolve any discrepancies.
Retirement Paperwork Review: Review retirement documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all forms meet necessary standards.
Report Validation: Review and validate reports, researching and correcting any errors or inconsistencies.
Quality Control and Service Delivery: Conduct quality control reviews while adhering to standard operating procedures, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality service delivery within agreed-upon service levels.
Qualifications We Seek
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a related field (or an equivalent qualification)
Relevant Experience: Experience in the retirement benefits sector, preferably in administration, benefits management, or a similar role
Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in both written and verbal communication, with email writing expertise
Attention to Detail: Ability to handle complex tasks with high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Adaptability: Ability to work in a constantly changing environment and prioritize effectively
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Expertise in using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for data management and reporting
Lean/Process Improvement Knowledge: Familiarity with quality and process improvement methods
