Position Summary

Accenture is actively seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist to join its Talent & Organization (T&O) team within the Strategy & Consulting Global Network (S&C GN). This role is tailored for dynamic professionals passionate about transforming the workforce through innovative learning strategies, instructional design excellence, and impactful training solutions.

As a Consultant in the T&O practice, you will collaborate with top-tier clients across various industries to deliver cutting-edge learning experiences, facilitate smooth organizational transformations, and co-create next-generation workforce capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Client Collaboration: Engage with client stakeholders to analyze business challenges, determine the appropriate learning interventions, and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality training programs.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Assessments (TNA) to design effective curriculum frameworks tailored to specific organizational goals.
  • Instructional Design: Create detailed instructional blueprints, including curriculum maps, content outlines, and learning journeys that align with adult learning principles and client expectations.
  • Content Development: Design and develop instructional materials using modern authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, SAP Enable Now, and WalkMe.
  • Quality Review: Rigorously review and evaluate deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards, project guidelines, and industry benchmarks.
  • Learning Strategy: Apply innovative learning strategies, including microlearning, gamification, scenario-based learning, and blended learning models.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Mentor and guide junior instructional designers and content developers. Conduct coaching workshops and offer feedback to nurture design capabilities within the team.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks early in the design cycle, escalate appropriately, and suggest feasible mitigation plans.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain effective communication with clients and internal teams to ensure stakeholder alignment, timely delivery, and solution relevance.

Professional Skill Requirements

  • Proven ability to apply instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, or Agile Learning Design.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning principles, performance-based design, and cognitive load management.
  • Hands-on expertise in developing diverse training formats such as:
    • Instructor-Led Training (ILT)
    • Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
    • E-learning modules
    • Job aids and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs)
    • Simulation-based learning
  • Strong command over storyboarding, scriptwriting, and content chunking.
  • Skilled in implementing accessibility and universal design standards in learning solutions.

Technical Proficiency

  • Authoring Tools: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, Whatfix, WalkMe, SAP Enable Now
  • Project Management: Familiarity with project tracking tools and agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS): Working knowledge of leading LMS platforms and SCORM/AICC standards.
  • Document Creation: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (full-time) in any discipline is mandatory
  • Preferred specializations: Journalism, Mass Communication, English Literature, Advertising, or Public Relations
