Key Responsibilities
- Administer and enhance policies for Web Application Firewalls (WAF) based on application needs and threat intelligence.
- Monitor WAF logs and reports to detect and respond to anomalies, potential attacks, and errors.
- Optimize WAF performance to maintain application speed, availability, and a seamless user experience.
- Stay current with the latest web application security trends and adjust security configurations accordingly.
- Manage SSL certificates and encryption key lifecycles.
- Configure and manage secure browsing technologies, such as Prisma Access Browser (PAB).
- Collaborate with end-users to troubleshoot issues, mitigate threats, and enhance overall security posture.
- Work with change management and deployment processes in enterprise IT environments.
- Document findings, draft technical reports, and communicate security content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- B.E./B.Tech or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity or Information Security roles.
- Technical Expertise:
- Practical experience with data protection technologies, including:
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Data Classification & Rights Management
- Data Access Governance
- Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
- Data Retention & Destruction solutions
- Web Security and SSL Decryption
- Knowledge of virtualization, Active Directory/LDAP, Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and database systems.
- Familiarity with encryption techniques, identity management, and cloud security frameworks.
- Hands-on skills in scripting with PowerShell is a plus.
- Practical experience with data protection technologies, including:
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Industry-recognized credentials such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in analyzing network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP) and distributed systems.
- Understanding of VPN types, encryption standards, digital certificates, and secure tunneling methods.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security controls, especially for platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong writing and reporting skills to deliver technical documentation for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and convey technical insights in business-friendly terms.
- Experience managing cybersecurity in hybrid and SaaS environments.
