Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will oversee and drive the complete lifecycle management of intricate construction and industrial projects, ensuring seamless execution from initiation to completion. Your primary duties will include:
- Comprehensive Project Lifecycle Management:
- Provide end-to-end support for construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Facilitate inter-disciplinary coordination among engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Drive resource planning and allocation to optimize project timelines and costs.
- Project Scheduling and Planning:
- Prepare and manage detailed L3 schedules using advanced project scheduling software tools such as Microsoft Projects and Primavera P6.
- Focus on optimizing project sequencing, estimating realistic durations, identifying dependencies, mitigating constraints, and ensuring resource availability.
- Progress Monitoring and Analysis:
- Conduct regular schedule analyses to detect potential delays or lags.
- Develop and recommend mitigation strategies to address project risks and keep projects on track.
- Contractor Coordination and Performance Management:
- Engage proactively with contractors to review progress, address concerns, and facilitate solution-driven discussions.
- Monitor contractor performance in alignment with project objectives and contractual obligations.
- Contract Management Support:
- Assist in reviewing and aligning project contractual terms and conditions.
- Guarantee alignment with project milestones, timelines, and deliverable expectations.
- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
- Compile and deliver comprehensive MIS reports to provide stakeholders with timely updates on project milestones and performance.
- Highlight key action points and critical issues requiring project manager intervention.
- Risk Mitigation and Issue Resolution:
- Anticipate project risks and implement proactive measures to minimize impact.
- Spearhead the resolution of operational and logistical challenges to maintain project momentum.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Experience:
- A solid track record of 5 to 10 years specializing in project planning, project management, and contract administration.
- Industry expertise in thermal power, renewable energy, oil and gas, new plant setups, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven experience in consulting roles, whether in technical or management domains, with a strong emphasis on project management practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Projects and Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed schedule analyses and generate actionable insights.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholder groups, from contractors to executive leadership.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from a premier engineering institution.
- Holding a postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction or Engineering Management will be considered a strong advantage.
- Deployment:
- This role requires the selected candidate to operate out of project sites, specifically in Odisha or Telangana.
- Joining:
- Candidates who can commence work at the earliest or are available for immediate onboarding will be prioritized.

Eligibility Checklist
