Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy Development:
- Formulate and implement comprehensive, project-specific procurement strategies in alignment with overall project objectives and corporate procurement policies.
- Ensure strategies support cost optimization, timely delivery, and risk mitigation.
2. Procurement Planning:
- Prepare detailed procurement plans outlining timelines, sourcing methodologies, and budget forecasts.
- Define sourcing strategies to identify competitive suppliers and subcontractors while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
3. Tendering and Contract Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end tendering process for the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, ensuring comprehensive bid evaluation and contract awards.
- Structure and finalize contract terms and conditions to maximize value and safeguard project objectives.
4. Vendor Management and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Track and evaluate vendor performance to ensure alignment with project specifications, technical standards, and quality expectations.
- Address vendor-related issues promptly, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and service deficiencies.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless coordination of purchasing activities.
- Facilitate clear communication channels between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
6. ERP and Procurement System Management:
- Oversee purchase order generation, approvals, and updates in the ERP system.
- Ensure all procurement activities are accurately documented and compliant with internal audit requirements.
7. Risk Management:
- Identify procurement risks proactively and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that procurement practices are aligned with contractual obligations and minimize project risks.
8. Compliance and Governance:
- Promote ethical sourcing standards and ensure strict compliance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into procurement decisions.
- Maintain transparency and accountability in all procurement operations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive experience in procurement management within the infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors.
- Strong knowledge of tendering, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Proficient in ERP procurement modules and systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, with a commitment to ethical procurement practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams in a dynamic project environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Tech/BE) through lateral entry.
- 10–16 years of demonstrated success in procurement management, particularly within large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in international procurement and supplier management will be an added advantage.
