Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to lead and deliver solutions in the area of Overhead Cost Controlling (CO-OM) within the SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. You will be expected to:

Lead the design and implementation of Overhead Cost Controlling processes aligned with client-specific business requirements.
Work on the end-to-end configuration of SAP CO modules such as Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Activity Types, and Statistical Key Figures.
Collaborate with clients to understand their cost allocation models, budgeting requirements, and cost tracking mechanisms.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and create blueprint documentation for SAP CO processes.
Support integrations with other SAP modules such as FI, MM, and PP to ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting.
Contribute to SAP S/4HANA migration activities including data mapping, testing, and user training for CO-OM functionalities.
Perform unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) in coordination with business stakeholders.
Provide post-go-live support, addressing user queries, resolving configuration issues, and implementing process improvements.

Required Skills & Competencies

To be successful in this role, the candidate should demonstrate the following core competencies and technical expertise:

SAP CO Functional Expertise

In-depth knowledge of SAP CO-OM (Overhead Management) including:
- Cost Center Accounting
- Internal Orders
- Activity-Based Costing (ABC)
- Statistical Key Figures
- Planning and Budgeting in CO
Ability to configure cost element structures, assessment cycles, distribution cycles, and reposting transactions.

SAP S/4HANA Experience

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA 1909 or higher, particularly the Universal Journal and real-time integration between CO and other modules.
Understanding of Fiori apps, Embedded Analytics, and new functionalities in S/4HANA CO environment.

Business Process Knowledge

Strong understanding of cost controlling frameworks, cost allocation logic, budgetary controls, and financial planning.
Ability to interpret profitability and cost analysis results for business decisions.

Consulting Skills

Proven track record in managing client communications, project documentation, and delivering presentations.
Capability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and perform gap analysis.
Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams with business stakeholders, developers, and integration consultants.

Soft Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.), Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
Postgraduate qualifications like MBA (Finance/IT) or certifications in SAP CO will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP CO module, especially in Overhead Controlling.
At least one full lifecycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA in the role of SAP CO Consultant.
Exposure to SAP Activate methodology, including project preparation, fit-gap analysis, realization, testing, and deployment.
Experience working with international clients and global delivery models is highly desirable.
