Role Overview
The Collibra – L1 Consultant will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive business and technical solutions, particularly in the domain of data governance and metadata management. This position is ideal for professionals who possess in-depth knowledge of Collibra, the leading data governance platform, and have the ability to align it with client business requirements to ensure successful implementations, support, and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Techno-Functional Project Execution

Act as the bridge between project stakeholders and technical teams by leveraging deep techno-functional knowledge.

Drive end-to-end implementation of business requirements in the Collibra platform — from requirement gathering, feasibility analysis, configuration, to production deployment.

Analyze new change requests, assess feasibility, and propose optimal solutions with clear timelines and minimal disruption to ongoing processes.

Develop and implement custom solutions to meet unique business needs by extending, modifying, or integrating the Collibra platform with existing enterprise applications.

Participate in architectural discussions, code development, testing, and deployment strategies to ensure robust delivery.

Translate business processes and functional requirements into technical solutions within the Collibra environment.

Provide high-quality code that adheres to organizational development standards and best practices.

Offer production support by resolving technical issues, debugging platform errors, and maintaining overall platform health.

Streamline routine tasks and workflows through automation to enhance productivity and minimize the need for manual effort.

Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to align technical deliverables with business goals.

Collaborate with on-site and remote teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely issue resolution.
2. Skill Enhancement and Knowledge Contribution

Continuously upgrade skills through internal training programs, certifications, and assessments as per Wipro’s learning path.

Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, seminars, and webinars to stay abreast of the latest developments in data governance and Collibra capabilities.

Contribute to organizational knowledge by writing technical papers, case studies, or blogs and publishing them on Wipro’s knowledge platforms.

Your performance as a Collibra L1 Consultant will be evaluated based on the following key indicators:

Required Skills and Experience
Mandatory Expertise

Proficiency in Collibra platform – including configuration, customization, integration, and support.

Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, and Collibra’s workflow engine.

Experience in building Collibra operating models, managing Collibra assets, and implementing business glossaries.
- Capability to convert complex business challenges into actionable Collibra data models and workflow solutions.

Familiarity with APIs, scripting (Groovy, Python), and integration with external data tools.

Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments is an advantage.
Professional Experience

A total professional experience of 5 to 8 years, including a minimum of 2 to 3 years of practical, hands-on involvement in implementing and supporting Collibra solutions.
