Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical & Physical Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will be responsible for:

1. Mechanical System Design & Development

  • Designing mechanical components, systems, and devices using advanced CAD software tools.

  • Conducting feasibility studies and performance evaluations for new and existing designs.

  • Facilitating the seamless integration of mechanical and physical components within sophisticated product architectures.

2. Prototyping & Manufacturing

  • Creating functional prototypes and design mock-ups for testing and validation.

  • Working closely with manufacturing teams to refine designs for improved production feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

  • Conducting mechanical assembly, tolerance analysis, and fitment validation.

3. Simulation & Performance Analysis

  • Utilizing simulation tools to predict and evaluate product behavior in real-world scenarios.

  • Performing stress analysis, thermal simulations, and dynamic modeling to validate design integrity.

  • Detecting design challenges at an early stage to minimize rework and enhance overall product quality.

4. Equipment Installation & Maintenance

  • Supporting installation of mechanical systems and ensuring proper operation under defined specifications.

  • Participating in the commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanically functioning equipment.

  • Documenting maintenance protocols and suggesting process improvements.

5. Collaboration & Client Engagement

Candidate Profile

  • 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design and physical engineering roles.

  • Proficiency in CAD tools like SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or NX.

  • Strong knowledge of simulation tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar FEA software.

  • Experience in prototyping and working with manufacturing vendors.

  • Knowledge of GD&T, material science, and engineering drawing standards.
