Job Summary:
Cognizant is looking for a skilled and analytical Program Manager to join our team in Bangalore, India, with a primary focus on solution-to-cost analysis, price benchmarking, and strategic deal consulting. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping competitive, deliverable, and profitable solutions for medium to large-scale client opportunities.
As a key contributor to the broader solutioning and pricing team, the Program Manager will work closely with executive leadership, solution architects, and program leads to enhance the quality and competitiveness of Cognizant’s service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution-to-Cost Analysis:
- Conduct end-to-end solution-to-cost analysis for medium and large-scale opportunities.
- Use market benchmark data, historical insights, and delivery models to construct a competitive pricing strategy aligned with client expectations.
- Ensure that solutions are structured with commercial viability, operational deliverability, and long-term profitability in mind.
Strategic Deal Shaping:
- Partner with Program Managers, Solution Architects, and Executive Leaders to co-design compelling deal structures that meet client objectives and Cognizant’s delivery standards.
- Engage in large, complex deal reviews to validate assumptions, risk factors, and commercial positioning.
- Provide recommendations for price-point validation based on industry benchmarks and internal delivery metrics.
Solution Optimization & Best Practices:
- Continuously gather pricing and solution feedback from past deals to inform pricing intelligence and future solutioning best practices.
- Refine solutioning and pricing methodologies to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across opportunities.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the tools, templates, and frameworks used for solution-to-cost models.
Tool & Process Enhancement:
- Improve internal capabilities by contributing to the evolution of pricing tools and cost estimation platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed pricing accuracy and automation into opportunity lifecycle workflows.
- Recommend and help implement process improvements and knowledge-sharing practices to enhance team productivity and proposal quality.
Internal Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders by offering expert guidance on competitive pricing strategies and win themes.
- Support strategic consulting efforts by providing insights into pricing trends, market competitiveness, and solution risk mitigation.
- Facilitate pricing and solution workshops, executive briefs, and stakeholder presentations as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in solution pricing, benchmarking, and strategic consulting.
- Expertise in working with solutioning teams for mid-to-large sized IT services deals.
- Proficiency in analyzing pricing data, cost drivers, and market benchmarks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and executive teams.
- Proven ability to optimize pricing strategies that align with profitability and client success.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with tools used in solutioning, pricing models, and financial projections.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
