As a network engineer at Capgemini, you will:
• Be working extensively with Cisco Catalyst Series switches like Catalyst 9000, 3850, and 6800.
• Utilize deep understanding of Cisco hardware and architecture to set up, support, and troubleshoot enterprise-level networks.
• Use sophisticated routing protocols like LISP (Locator/ID Separation Protocol), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), ISIS, and Multicast.
• Apply network segmentation and virtualization using technologies like VRF-Lite, VXLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN), and CTS (Cisco TrustSec).
• Configure and troubleshoot 802.1x authentication and spanning tree protocols and provide secure network access.
• Use your knowledge of SDN (software-defined networking) principles to create scalable, software-controlled networks.
• Work directly with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) to provision, manage, and monitor the networks effectively.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute network migration plans and comprehensive test plans.
• Ensure the development of comprehensive documentation, including implementation and migration plans, technical notes, and process guidelines.
