About the Role
In this role of application developer, you will have a central position in designing, developing, setting up, and deploying intricate applications that are tailored to client business processes and technology needs. You will work alongside cross-functional teams, drive technical implementations, and act as an Oracle Utilities subject matter expert (SME).
Your work will cut across the project life cycle, such as design, development, testing, and deployment phases. You will also have to fix defects, conduct root cause analysis, and provide post-deployment support. This position demands a combination of technical knowledge, strategic vision, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and design enterprise applications on Oracle CC&B and the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
• Create and keep Technical Design Documents (TDD) in accordance with project specifications.
• Oversee technical development throughout all project stages: design, construction, testing, and deployment.
• Provide high performance and scalability through code optimization, tuning, and monitoring.
• Create and implement integrations with on-premise and cloud systems, providing secure and scalable solutions.
• Work with vendor support teams and internal customers to efficiently and quickly solve technical issues.
• Offer hands-on experience in Groovy scripting, Java development, and OUAF customization.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical solutions, influencing architectural decisions and code reviews.
• Be involved in the review of new tools, frameworks, and best practices in Oracle Utilities.
• Support implementation standards and assist in the ongoing improvement of delivery processes.

Professional & Technical Competencies
• 6 to 10 years of overall experience in enterprise application development.
• Minimum 2 to 3 full-cycle implementation projects in the Oracle Utilities domain.
• Firm understanding of Oracle Utilities platforms, tools, and integration mechanisms.
• Demonstrated capability to lead solution design as an SME, reviewing architecture and driving adherence to project objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address technical issues during development and testing.
• Proven experience in the delivery and management of Oracle Utilities-based solutions.
• Multi-fuel or all-fuel utility system experience will be a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with project managers, architects, and business stakeholders to facilitate effective solution delivery.
Educational Qualification
• At least 15 years of full-time education is required.
• Engineering or related degree is desirable.
