Role Description: Developer—L3
Role Purpose
The role of Developer – L3 is to design, test, and support software programs optimized for client deployment. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality assurance requirements are met while optimizing software performance and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Understanding and Software Solution Designing
• Assess client requirements and system requirements in order to create solid software solutions.
• Examine system problems and identify software issues through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Recognize and apply process enhancements to improve system performance and availability.
• Work with cross-functional teams, such as system analysts and project managers, to improve software capabilities and designs.
2. Software Development and Optimization
• Assess system feasibility through analysis of problems, requirement definition, and software solution proposals.
• Create and automate software validation processes by designing and running test cases.
• Change existing software to correct errors, enhance performance, and accommodate new hardware.
• Make recommendations for new system installations or alterations to current applications based on analysis of data.
• Ensure that all code is error-free or bug-free prior to deployment.
• Prepare detailed reports of project specifications, activities, and progress.
• Follow project and account standards for code management, documentation, and version control.
• Keep complete documentation, such as system diagrams, code comments, and user manuals.
• Give frequent project status reports to team members and stakeholders.
• Provide usability and serviceability feedback while monitoring quality risks.
3. Customer-Focused Orientation and Status Reporting
• Interact with customers to gather requirements and offer explanations for better software quality.
• Collect ongoing customer feedback to deliver on time and with high-quality software.
• Maintain awareness of best practices in the industry and future programming languages by continuous learning.
• Collaborate with engineering groups to assess software-hardware compatibility and define system specifications.
• Create flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and technical documentation to allow easy software implementation.
• Maintain clear, professional, and efficient communication with customers through email, phone calls, and reports.
• Deal promptly with customer requests and allow few complaints about service or software performance.
