We are looking for an experienced and dynamic manager of hardware development & ASIC/SoC design to lead multiple groups of designs and oversee the process of innovation in hardware development. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in ASIC development cycles, SoC design, processor architecture, and semiconductor technology. The job requires a strong background in chip-level development and cross-functional team leadership. The successful individual will play a key role in organizational design standards, optimizing the design process, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
Oversee multiple design teams to deliver projects effectively.
Set organization-wide design best practices and standards.
Oversee 10 to 15 ASIC test and hardware engineers who develop and test ASICs.
Provide strategic guidance to team members and promote technical competence and innovation culture.
ASIC/SoC Development & Testing:
Design, specify, plan, architect, verify, and test various ASIC/SoC blocks.
Contribute to the full ASIC lifecycle development process, starting from specification up to tapeout and board testing until product use.
Design ASIC interfaces and ensure easy interaction with external blocks.
ASIC verification, validation, and testing participation to ensure functional correctness.
Help create test cases and debug ASIC features.
Chip Design & Integration:
Understanding of ASIC design and SoC integration with at least 8+ years of experience in the field.
Design and validate test boards used for ASIC chip testing.
Collaborate with chip layout and physical design (PD) teams for effective ASIC integration.
Support ASIC chip qualification and characterization-related tasks.
Interface closely with the important stakeholders and fabrication (Fab) units during the development cycle.
Project Management & Strategic Planning:
Develop and track project schedules for on-time delivery of milestones.
Coordinate cross-functional activities to make development processes efficient.
Align design strategies with business objectives and market demands.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency in ASIC development and hardware testing.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in processor/DSP/FPGA/ASIC/SoC-based design.
In-depth understanding of industry practices in ASIC development, verification, and validation.
Experience in Design for Testability (DFT) techniques.
Practical experience with analog, digital, transistor, and flip-flop circuits.
Hardware debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with hardware description languages (HDL), e.g., Verilog/VHDL.
Knowledge of EDA tools used for ASIC/SoC design and verification.
Knowledge of high-speed interfaces and mixed-signal design concepts.
Leadership & Management Skills:
Good multi-project and multi-team management ability.
Good decision-making and problem-solving ability.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong track record of leading high-complexity ASIC/SoC development projects.
Experience:
Combined 10+ years hardware and ASIC development experience.
Minimum 8+ years hands-on ASIC design and SoC integration experience.
Familiarity with one or more ASIC design lifecycles (from spec through tapeout and board test to product utilization)
Experience with communicating with fabrication teams, vendors, and other industry alliances.
