Role Overview:
As a senior technical support engineer, you will be tasked with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving sophisticated technical problems encountered by Microsoft customers. Your job will include working with different teams, performing in-depth analysis, and utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to deliver world–class support. This role enables you to hone your problem-solving skills, improve your research skills, and increase your technical knowledge while directly contributing to customer satisfaction and product enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Troubleshooting & Resolution
Technical problem diagnosis, investigation, and resolution for complex customer Microsoft Windows and Server-related technical issues.
Utilize debugging tools, network tracing, and log analysis to identify and correct system faults.
Be a trusted customer advisor to deliver effective and efficient problem resolution.
Escalate and resolve severe technical issues in collaboration with internal teams.
Customer Engagement & Support Excellence
Expert support and guidance for Microsoft products and services.
Provide preemptive solutions to customers, avoiding future technical challenges.
Documenting troubleshooting processes and solutions in Microsoft‘s knowledge base.
Establishing good customer relationships by providing timely and accurate fixes.
Knowledge Sharing & Training:
Leading technical mentoring and coaching initiatives to enhance colleagues‘ and new hires‘ skills.
Participating in community forums, internal training, and customer readiness programs.
Staying current with industry trends, Microsoft technologies, and best practices.
Product & Process Improvement:
Collaborate with Microsoft‘s engineering and supportability groups to recognize product flaws and drive improvements.
Help create automation tools and diagnostic utilities to make support more efficient.
Offer comments on product performance and usability to assist in honing Microsoft‘s software solutions.
Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates need to meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field and a minimum of 3+ years of IT, consulting, or technical support experience.
OR 5+ years of technical support, consulting, or IT experience.
OR equivalent hands-on experience in relevant technical areas.
English fluency (reading, writing, and speaking).
Excellent knowledge of Windows system administration & configuration, including:
