Job Description: Role and Responsibilities
The selected project associate I will be involved in crucial environmental research activities. This role primarily requires the candidate to:
Field Visit Survey: Conduct field visits for survey purposes and collect samples from various environmental mediums, such as air, noise, water, wastewater, and soil.
Data Processing & Compilation: Assist in data compilation, processing, and the preparation of technical reports using advanced computer software like MS Office.
Use of Advanced Equipment: Gain hands-on experience in using sophisticated environmental testing equipment like HPLC, GC, FID, and others for accurate analysis.
GIS Knowledge: Utilize GIS (Geographic Information System) platforms to create thematic maps, LULC maps (Land Use and Land Cover), and DEM (Digital Elevation Models).
Air Quality Modelling: Assist in air quality modelling and meteorological data analysis. This includes preparing wind roses for wind pattern analysis and further environmental data.
Technical Reports: Play a pivotal role in preparing reports based on research findings, ensuring that all reports are scientifically accurate and aligned with environmental standards.
The role will require proficiency in GIS tools, handling environmental monitoring equipment, and in-depth knowledge of environmental science and data analysis methodologies.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualification: A post-graduate degree in environmental science (M.Sc.) or any related field.
Skills:
Expertise in GIS platforms.
Familiarity with equipment such as HPLC, GC, and FID for environmental sample testing.
Knowledge of air quality modeling techniques.
Strong technical skills in MS Office and other computer software used for data analysis and report preparation.
