Role: Selling Partner Risk Operations (SPRO) Investigator
As an SPRO Investigator, you will play a crucial role in identifying and eliminating risks associated with online e-commerce transactions. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in e-commerce payments, trust and safety protocols, and customer-centric operations. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and independent decision-making are essential.
Your ability to assess risk, detect fraud, and ensure customer trust will directly impact Amazon’s marketplace integrity. You will leverage cutting-edge tools and technology to assess transactions, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with Amazon’s security policies.
Key Responsibilities
As an SPRO Investigator, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Risk Investigation & Fraud Prevention
- Analyze and evaluate data to detect suspicious activities and fraudulent transactions.
- Investigate seller transactions, ensuring compliance with Amazon’s risk policies.
- Leverage machine learning models and analytical tools to identify and mitigate risks.
- Make independent decisions regarding transaction legitimacy with minimal supervision.
2. Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, risk analysts, engineers, and management.
- Engage in frequent written and verbal communication with external stakeholders, including sellers and customers.
- Provide clear and detailed documentation of investigations through annotations and reports.
3. Customer Engagement & Problem-Solving
- Contact customers through phone and email to gather additional details when needed.
- Understand and resolve customer issues by utilizing available resources effectively.
- Escalate complex cases to relevant teams for in-depth analysis.
4. Performance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Amazon’s operational policies and security guidelines.
- Meet and exceed productivity targets and quality assurance standards.
- Continuously monitor key performance metrics to drive process improvements.
5. Technology & Process Optimization
- Utilize data-driven insights and automation tools to enhance fraud detection efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of scalable investigation processes and frameworks.
- Support Amazon’s commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 0-5 years of work experience in relevant fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- The ability to handle and interpret large sets of data for decision-making.
- A track record of working effectively in a team-based, dynamic environment.

Work Schedule & Shifts
- Rotational shifts: Amazon operates in a 24/7 environment, and shifts rotate every 3-4 months.
- Weekly off days: Employees receive two consecutive days off per week, which change every 3-4 months.
