This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about data analysis, workforce management, and operational optimization. As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing claims workforce capacity, ensuring optimal workload distribution, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for real-time monitoring and analysis, forecasting staffing requirements, managing work allocation, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity. Additionally, the role requires working US shifts (6 PM to 3 AM IST), making it ideal for candidates with a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Scheduling and Planning
The primary responsibility is to develop and manage staff assignments based on demand, ensuring that there is optimal workforce coverage at all times.
You will be tasked with balancing workload distribution across teams to ensure that operational needs are met while adhering to performance targets.
Adjustments to staffing and workload assignments will need to be made in real-time based on unexpected changes such as employee absences, peaks in demand, or other operational shifts.
2. Forecasting
The role will require you to analyze historical trends, including seasonal fluctuations, promotions, and overall business growth.
By leveraging data insights, you will forecast future staffing requirements and gaps.
Accurate forecasting is essential for ensuring that the right resources are available when needed, thus preventing performance shortfalls.
3. Real-Time Monitoring and Adjustment
One of the crucial aspects of this role involves monitoring employee performance and operational workflows in real-time.
You will ensure that all processes adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and address performance issues immediately.
Your ability to make quick adjustments to staffing levels or priorities will play a key role in minimizing delays and maintaining smooth operations.
4. Performance Management
As part of your role, you will track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as staffing efficiency, throughput, productivity, and service levels.
Using these KPIs, you will generate performance reports, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to boost team performance.
Continuous performance analysis and recommendations for process improvements will help drive operational excellence.
5. Process Optimization
Identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks within the back-office workflow will be a critical responsibility.
You will collaborate with other teams to ensure that best practices are consistently followed across the organization.
Your efforts will be geared toward streamlining operations, improving productivity, and delivering a better service experience.
6. Reporting and Analysis
Regular analysis of workforce metrics (attendance, productivity, utilization rates, etc.) will be expected to identify trends and performance gaps.
You will provide data-driven recommendations for improving workforce allocation and operational effectiveness.
Communicating your findings and insights to senior management and other key stakeholders will ensure that necessary adjustments are made to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications
1. Minimum Qualifications
Educational Requirement: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
Analytical Skills: A strong analytical mindset and the ability to extract meaningful insights from data.
Data Analysis Experience: Hands-on experience in data analysis, particularly within an operational setting, is highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel: Advanced Excel skills are required, including experience with pivot tables,v-lookups, and data analysis techniques.
2. Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Advanced Excel Knowledge: Knowledge of advanced Excel functionalities like macros, formulas, and data visualization.
Power BI: Experience with Power BI for creating dashboards and visualizing data for actionable insights is a significant plus.
Operational Knowledge: Experience in workload balancing, staffing, or claims management would be highly beneficial.
Working Hours and Shift Requirements
This position requires the candidate to work in the US shift (6 PM to 3 AM IST). Therefore, applicants should be comfortable working during these hours, with flexibility and adaptability to address real-time challenges as they arise.
