Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and proficient Network Security Architect to become an integral part of our innovative team based in Bangalore. This senior-level role is tailored for professionals with 12 to 22 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing network security architectures for large-scale enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of firewall technologies, web security platforms, endpoint protection tools, and modern threat mitigation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

As a Network Security Architect, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

1. Network Security Design and Architecture

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade network security architectures that align with organizational goals and industry standards.

  • Drive key projects focused on firewall segmentation, seamless proxy deployment, robust endpoint security, and the implementation of web application firewalls (WAF).

  • Evaluate and integrate next-generation firewall (NGFW) platforms (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, FortiGate, Cisco FTD, etc.) into current security infrastructure.

2. Proxy and Web Protection Technologies

  • Manage and configure cloud-based proxy services such as Zscaler, Netskope, or similar cloud web gateway platforms.

  • Perform in-depth proxy configuration, policy management, and SSL decryption to ensure seamless and secure web traffic control.

3. WAF and DDoS Mitigation

  • Deploy and administer Web Application Firewalls from leading vendors like Cloudflare, Akamai, Imperva, and Radware.

  • Provide hands-on support for DDoS prevention tools to safeguard enterprise resources from volumetric and protocol-based attacks.

4. Threat Detection and Prevention

  • Implement and maintain Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) across critical enterprise touchpoints.

  • Continuously analyze network traffic patterns, identify anomalies, and proactively address security threats.

5. Endpoint Security and Antivirus Solutions

  • Administer and manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, and McAfee.

  • Oversee antivirus and anti-malware protection strategies to ensure robust endpoint compliance and remediation capabilities.

6. Security Operations and Governance

  • Define, implement, and monitor security policies and configuration baselines across the network ecosystem.

  • Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations and uphold internal governance policies and security standards.

7. Network Protocol and Traffic Analysis

  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP stack, subnetting, routing protocols, NAT, VPN, and ACLs.

  • Conduct comprehensive packet-level network analysis to detect security threats, diagnose performance issues, and uncover unauthorized access or anomalies.

8. Security Platform Management

  • Handle the full lifecycle of enterprise security platforms — from installation, configuration, and upgrading to patching and performance tuning.

  • Participate in security incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate mastery in the following domains:

  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud proxy services like Zscaler or Netskope.

  • Expertise in implementing WAF technologies: Cloudflare, Akamai, Radware, or Imperva.

  • Proficient in deploying and supporting Next Generation Firewalls (Physical and VM series): Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco FTD, Checkpoint.

  • Strong understanding and operational knowledge of Firewall UTM, IDS/IPS, and security ruleset configuration.

  • Experience with DDoS protection strategies and WAF tuning.

  • Familiarity with network security standards, frameworks, and regulatory compliance such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.

  • Robust expertise in TCP/IP protocols, network routing and switching, VPN setup, and access control mechanisms.

  • Proficiency in Endpoint Security Estate Management involving tools like CrowdStrike, McAfee, and Carbon Black.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage enterprise security applications and support antivirus/anti-malware environments.

  • Experience working with SIEM tools, log management systems, and incident management workflows.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills within enterprise network security frameworks.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess one or more of the following academic qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required.

  • Preferred postgraduate qualifications include:

    • M.Sc Tech (Master of Science in Technology)

    • MBM (Master of Business Management)

    • MFM (Master of Financial Management)

Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, Palo Alto PCNSE, Zscaler ZCCA, Fortinet NSE, or equivalents will be an added advantage.
