Job Summary: Continuous Improvement Associate / Weld Shop Inspector
- Location: South Milwaukee, WI
- Shift: 3rd Shift (Overnight, Full-Time)
- Hourly Rate: $30.56 + $1.00/hour shift differential

Key Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure the structural integrity and quality of large welded components while supporting process improvements throughout our manufacturing operations:
- Conduct visual and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections on large-scale weldments
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to support continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on process capability and optimization projects
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Use inspection tools like Cam Gauges, V-WAC Gauges, and Fillet Gauges with precision
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
- Work in confined spaces and at elevated heights when necessary
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must fulfill the following baseline qualifications:
- Possess an active and valid Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) credential
- Demonstrate competency in using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with standard inspection tools and methods
- Solid understanding of blueprints and welding standards
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to perform 12-hour shifts and work in physically demanding environments
Preferred Skills and Experience
Standout candidates may also possess:
- Hands-on knowledge or certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) methodologies
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
- Background in industrial manufacturing, welding, or quality control
