🛠️ Job Summary

The Senior Windchill Developer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Windchill applications. This includes configuring solutions, debugging complex issues, supporting CMMI-compliant documentation, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations.

This role demands hands-on technical proficiency in Windchill architecture, strong understanding of PLM workflows, and the ability to lead development efforts in alignment with project goals. You’ll also be expected to mentor junior developers, contributing to the upskilling and overall maturity of the team.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Windchill Developer, your primary duties will include:

1. Application Development & Maintenance

  • Maintain, debug, and enhance existing Windchill applications in alignment with client and business requirements.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and deliver prompt resolutions while ensuring code quality and system stability.

  • Implement best coding practices, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.

2. Client Interaction and Support

  • Provide comprehensive support to clients by responding to service tickets and enhancement requests.

  • Present system data and application metrics in a user-friendly format.

  • Monitor system performance and usage while ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).

3. Technical Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and update technical documentation in compliance with CMMI Level processes and client-specific documentation standards.

  • Ensure all changes and enhancements are well-documented to facilitate ongoing maintenance and team collaboration.

4. Team Collaboration and Mentoring

  • Guide and support junior developers on Windchill best practices, code reviews, and functional requirements.

  • Promote adherence to development standards and ensure quality deliverables across the team.

5. Requirement Gathering and Analysis

  • Work with internal stakeholders and customers to gather detailed technical requirements.

  • Participate in feasibility assessments and contribute to architecture and design decisions.

  • Align development plans with broader business goals and technical roadmaps.

✅ Required Skills and Competencies

🌐 Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Windchill development and administration

  • Proficient in PLM tools and processes including product structures, BOM management, and workflows

  • Good understanding of Change Management principles

  • Experience with Design Verification & Validation (DVV) techniques

  • Familiarity with Risk Management processes, especially in Medical Device industries

  • Working knowledge of SAP integration with PLM systems
