Position Overview
As a GRC Engineer, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining risk and compliance frameworks across the organization. Your primary responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, developing audit plans, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. Your work will influence key decisions at the leadership level while shaping a risk-aware and compliance-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Governance, Risk & Compliance Frameworks: Design, implement, and manage robust GRC frameworks that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Risk Assessments: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize organizational risks by conducting thorough risk assessments, including analysis of operational vulnerabilities and potential threats.
- Audit Management: Develop and execute internal audit plans, review audit findings, and implement corrective actions to close compliance gaps.
- Cross-functional Integration: Work collaboratively with departments such as IT, security, HR, and operations to embed risk-aware decision-making into business processes.
- Reporting & Documentation: Regularly report risk exposure and mitigation efforts to senior leadership, supported by well-documented processes and findings.
- Risk Mitigation Guidance: Advise stakeholders on best practices in risk reduction and compliance strategies based on emerging trends and regulatory updates.
- Training & Awareness: Deliver targeted training programs to enhance risk awareness and compliance behavior throughout the organization.
- Policy Development: Support the creation and continuous improvement of policies and procedures governing organizational risk, ethics, and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in laws, industry standards, and regulatory mandates impacting risk and governance.
- Tool Utilization: Leverage enterprise-grade risk management tools and platforms to automate and optimize GRC workflows.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies within risk processes and drive improvements that enhance responsiveness and alignment with business strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
- GRC Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance best practices, with practical experience in risk analysis and mitigation.
- Audit Management: Demonstrated experience in planning, conducting, and reporting on internal and/or external audits.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and offer practical solutions.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with leading risk management and audit tools.
- Communication Skills: Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication abilities to interact with all levels of management.
- Team Collaboration: A team player with experience working in hybrid environments and across diverse functional teams.
