🎯 Role Purpose

The DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between software development, testing, and IT operations. This role focuses on automating the software delivery lifecycle, enabling seamless integration and deployment, improving reliability, and reducing time-to-market.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

⚙️ CI/CD Pipeline Management

• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Automate application build, test, deployment, and configuration processes using modern DevOps tools.

• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure fast and reliable deployments.

🛠️ Toolchain Integration & Onboarding

• Onboard new applications onto the DevOps toolchain and configure the CI/CD environment according to client needs.

• Customize tool configurations and integrations as required by specific business or project requirements.

• Collaborate with software developers, testers, and infrastructure teams to connect all elements of the software lifecycle.

📊 Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

• Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Implement automation for provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Leverage tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and others for a fully automated DevOps environment.

👥 Access Control & Workflow Management

• Define, document, and maintain user access workflows to the DevOps environment.

• Manage user permissions and role-based access controls based on organizational policies and compliance requirements.

🧩 Customer Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide end-user support for DevOps tools and environments, assisting internal and external stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot and resolve tickets related to DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines within agreed Turnaround Time (TAT).

• Escalate unresolved issues through the established escalation matrix for timely resolution.
