🧾 Job Responsibilities—Chief Manager (Law)
As the Chief Manager (Law), you will be responsible for a wide array of legal functions within the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Key responsibilities include:
1. Legal Advisory and Compliance
Provide legal advice and interpretation of various laws applicable to the company.
Advise departments and regional offices on legal matters, especially in HR, commercial, and operational contexts.
Ensure the company’s adherence to statutory provisions and legal frameworks.
2. Litigation Management
Handle and manage litigation cases—corporate, civil, criminal, consumer, and arbitration.
Represent or coordinate legal representation for the company before:
CERC (Central Electricity Regulatory Commission)
APTEL (Appellate Tribunal for Electricity)
High Courts
Supreme Court of India
Other statutory or quasi-judicial forums.
3. Drafting and Vetting
Draft petitions, counter-replies, affidavits, legal notices, contracts, and agreements.
Vet important documents, including:
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
Loan and advance agreements
Housing lease agreements
4. Liaison and Coordination
Coordinate with external counsels, law firms, regulatory bodies, and courts.
