Position Overview
This role demands deep technical expertise in designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality, and reliable products.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving hardware design projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the creation of solutions that meet client requirements and exceed performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Hardware Engineer, your responsibilities will span the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept and design to testing, certification, and production. Key duties include:
1. Circuit Design & Development

Analog Circuit Design: Create, simulate, and validate high-performance analog circuits, including operational amplifiers, data converters (ADC/DAC), voltage regulators, and filter designs.

Digital Circuit Design: Develop robust digital circuits with expertise in communication protocols such as UART, RS422, RS485, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, and Ethernet TCP/IP.

Power Supply Design: Develop optimized power solutions customized to product specifications, delivering maximum performance and dependable reliability.
2. Microprocessor & Controller Architecture

Design microprocessor and microcontroller-based systems, covering architectural circuit design and integration.

Develop solutions with memory devices such as DDR, NAND, and NOR flash.
3. Standards & Communication Interfaces
-
Ensure compliance with industrial IO standards (4-20mA, HART, DI/DO, Universal IOs).

Implement and test industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, ModBus, and CAN-FD.
4. Simulation, Testing & Validation
-
Utilize simulation tools such as SPICE, PSPICE, and HSPICE for accurate circuit analysis and validation.

Perform detailed signal and power integrity evaluations to enhance overall system performance.

Perform design verification and validation testing using advanced lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
5. Product Lifecycle Management

Contribute to all stages of product development, from design to manufacturing.

Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC, environmental, safety, and certification requirements.

Prepare and maintain essential engineering documentation, such as System Requirements Specifications (SyRS), Hardware Design Documents (HDD), Hardware Test Plans (HTP), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
6. Reliability & Risk Analysis

Conduct MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) analysis, DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and derating analysis to enhance product robustness.
7. PCB Design & Vendor Coordination
-
Collaborate with PCB layout engineers using Cadence, Mentor, and Altium tools for schematic capture and board design.

Interface with vendors for part selection, sourcing, and manufacturing support.
Technical Expertise Required

Analog & Digital Circuit Design: Strong foundation in both domains, with proven experience in design, simulation, and testing.

Power Electronics: Skilled in power supply design and related components.

Microprocessor & Controller Systems: Experience with architecture, integration, and peripheral communication.

Communication Protocols: Deep knowledge of both industrial and standard digital communication interfaces.

Simulation Tools: Proficient in SPICE-based tools for accurate modeling and analysis.

Hardware Testing: Proficient in operating oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and a wide range of advanced testing instruments.

Product Development Standards: Knowledge of EMI/EMC, safety compliance, and environmental standards.

PCB Design Tools: Hands-on experience with Cadence, Mentor Graphics, and Altium Designer.

Reliability Engineering: Expertise in MTBF, DFMEA, and derating methodologies.
