About the Role
As an SAP BTP + CAP Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end application lifecycle, from concept and architecture to deployment and optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, integration specialists, and functional consultants, to build robust, cloud-native enterprise solutions that address complex business requirements.
Your core focus will be on leveraging SAP CAP for application development, integrating services through SAP BTP, and delivering secure and high-quality applications in line with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Development with SAP CAP

Create, engineer, and deploy robust enterprise applications leveraging the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.

Build robust APIs, including OData and RESTful services, to enable seamless integration between applications and external systems.

Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability through modular design and adherence to SAP development guidelines.
2. SAP BTP Services Implementation

Work extensively with SAP BTP services such as SAP HANA Cloud, Cloud Integration, Cloud Identity, XSUAA, and Cloud Foundry.

Set up and launch applications within SAP BTP Cloud Foundry environments, ensuring optimal configuration and performance.

Integrate applications with SAP HANA Cloud for data persistence and performance optimization.
3. API Design & Integration

Architect and implement API-first solutions, focusing on performance, security, and usability.

Leverage CAP-based APIs for both SAP and non-SAP system integrations.

Ensure compliance with enterprise API standards and governance policies.
4. Security & Identity Management

Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using XSUAA and Cloud Identity services.

Follow secure coding practices to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities.

Manage user roles and permissions in alignment with enterprise security policies.
5. Collaboration & Project Execution

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs and convert them into effective, well-structured technical solutions.

Collaborate with SAP functional and integration teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.

Engage in agile processes such as sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and retrospective sessions to support project delivery and continuous improvement.
6. Continuous Improvement & Learning

Stay updated with the latest features and enhancements in SAP BTP and CAP frameworks.

Required Skills & Competencies
