About the Role
The Palo Alto Architect is a strategic and hands-on role that blends security architecture design, technology deployment, and operational excellence. You will work closely with IT security teams, business stakeholders, and infrastructure specialists to build resilient, scalable, and high-performing security environments.
As a senior consultant, you will lead security strategy implementation across firewalls, endpoint protection, WAF, DDoS mitigation, and cloud-based security platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise security policies and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Security Architecture & Design

Develop and implement comprehensive network and cloud security architectures using Palo Alto, Netskope, and equivalent technologies.

Design and configure Next-Generation Firewalls (physical & virtual series) for optimal protection and performance.

Architect solutions for enterprise-level security deployments involving hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
2. Firewall & UTM Solutions

Deploy and manage NGFW solutions from vendors such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco FTD, and FortiGate.

Configure and maintain Unified Threat Management (UTM) features including IDS/IPS, VPN, NAT, ACLs, and content filtering.

Perform security policy creation, rule optimization, and firewall performance tuning.
3. Web Application Firewall (WAF) & DDoS Protection

Implement and manage WAF technologies such as Cloudflare, Akamai, Imperva, and Radware to secure web applications.

Deploy DDoS mitigation solutions to protect enterprise applications from volumetric and application-layer attacks.

Monitor and fine-tune WAF configurations to maintain optimal security without compromising application performance.
4. Endpoint Security Management

Oversee enterprise endpoint protection platforms like CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, and McAfee.

Ensure antivirus and anti-malware solutions are deployed, updated, and monitored for threat detection and response.

5. Network Traffic & Protocol Analysis
