Position Summary: Automation Project Manager
Wipro is looking for a dynamic and experienced Automation Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact projects in automation and operations. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project governance, delivery excellence, team leadership, and client satisfaction. As a key player in Wipro’s digital initiatives, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing project life cycles, ensuring optimized resource allocation, and delivering cost-effective solutions to global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Delivery Oversight:
Drive end-to-end project management activities with a focus on automation delivery, client satisfaction, and governance. Ensure milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met consistently. - Talent Management & Team Coordination:
Oversee the deployment of the right talent across projects. Ensure that skills are aligned with project needs to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness. - Operations and Governance Management:
Maintain strong control over project scope, schedule, budget, and quality by implementing robust governance models and operational practices. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with clients, delivery teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure project alignment and strategic goal achievement. - Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation:
Identify project risks and implement timely corrective actions. Continuously evaluate and improve project delivery models, ensuring the highest standards of quality and client service.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Project Management Expertise:
Proven track record in managing large-scale consulting and enterprise projects, especially those involving automation and digital transformation. - Certifications:
Recognized industry certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP, or other equivalent credentials are mandatory. - Technical Background:
Hands-on programming experience in at least one of the following object-oriented languages:- Java
- C++
- C#
- TypeScript
A strong understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure virtualization, and software release life cycles is essential.
- Project Management Tools Proficiency:
Experience working with leading project and portfolio management tools such as:- Atlassian Jira
- Tempo
- Portfolio
- Changepoint
- Clarity
- Language Proficiency:
Excellent command of English (spoken, written, and reading) is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages such as German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, or Arabic is an added advantage and preferred for global project interactions.
