Position Overview: Connectivity & Network Engineer – B
As a Connectivity & Network Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and support advanced engineering solutions in domains spanning wireless and satellite networks, enterprise systems, IoT, connected applications, and cloud-based telecom infrastructure.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate, automate, and enhance system capabilities, ensuring seamless connectivity and operational performance across network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development:
Engineer innovative solutions involving embedded software and application software across various networking domains including wireless, satellite, and fixed networks. - Systems Integration:
Lead the end-to-end integration of network systems involving IoT devices, edge computing platforms, 5G edge, connected apps, and Telco cloud infrastructures. - Automation & Edge Compute:
Develop and maintain automation frameworks that enhance network performance and reduce manual effort across operational platforms. - UI Automation:
Implement UI automation scripts and tools to support testing, monitoring, and management of network applications. - Protocol & Standards Compliance:
Ensure adherence to global standards and protocols in networking systems design and deployment. - Python Development:
Leverage Python for scripting, automation, and system interaction tasks, especially within DevOps and network testing workflows. - Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including software engineers, product managers, and telecom partners to drive integration initiatives and ensure system resilience.
Core Technical Skills Required
1. UI Automation
- Proficient in designing and implementing automated user interface test scripts.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, PyAutoGUI, or Appium.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for UI-related issues in networked applications.
2. Python Programming
- Solid experience in Python for scripting, automation, and integration tasks.
- Ability to develop custom tools to interact with network services, APIs, and databases.
- Knowledge of Python-based frameworks for automation and test harness development.
3. Networking & Embedded Systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols, standards, and topologies (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, etc.).
- Experience in embedded system development for connected devices and network controllers.
- Exposure to wireless technologies such as LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, and satellite communication systems.
4. IoT & Edge Computing
- Practical experience in IoT device integration and management.
- Familiarity with edge computing frameworks and low-latency processing for real-time applications.
5. Telco Cloud & B2X Apps
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based telecom solutions like Telco Cloud, NFV, and SDN.
- Understanding of B2X applications and their performance optimization within distributed networks.
Desirable Experience & Attributes
- Experience in enterprise network architecture, implementation, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in a networked environment.
- Prior exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab).
- Ability to write clear, scalable, and maintainable code.
- A proactive mindset with a strong emphasis on problem-solving, critical thinking, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working in agile environments and adapting to evolving business requirements.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in:
