Key Responsibilities
As a Technology Architect at Cognizant, your role will include:

Develop reusable and scalable Application Networks using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform.

Establish frameworks and patterns that support API-Led Connectivity for optimal data flow and modular architecture.
🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and design integration blueprints.

Translate business needs into detailed technical designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
🔹 System Optimization & Testing

Conduct performance tuning, functional testing, and validation of integration components to guarantee robustness and efficiency.

Implement monitoring mechanisms to proactively detect and resolve integration issues and ensure minimal downtime.
🔹 Technical Leadership & Support

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on MuleSoft technologies and related integration frameworks.

Provide mentorship to junior developers and guide them on best practices, reusable assets, and standardized methodologies.
🔹 Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration flows, configurations, and custom connectors to support maintenance and knowledge continuity.

Develop playbooks and reusable templates to enable rapid integration deployment across projects.
🔹 Compliance & Security

Ensure all integration solutions comply with data protection policies, industry regulations, and internal security guidelines.

Conduct periodic risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies in line with compliance standards.
🔹 Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Keep abreast of the latest advancements in MuleSoft technologies, integration frameworks, and evolving digital ecosystem trends.

Recommend and implement enhancements to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance of integration solutions.
🔹 Industry-Specific Solutions

Apply your domain expertise in Smart Grid and Utilities to design integrations that optimize utility data flows, improve grid performance, and enable real-time insights.

Required Qualifications

8–10 years of hands-on experience in integration architecture and MuleSoft API-led design.

Strong command over MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, RAML, DataWeave, connectors, and runtime components.

Proven experience in developing, deploying, and managing APIs in large-scale enterprise environments.

Knowledge and application of integration patterns, ESB principles, and event-driven architecture.

Proven experience in managing both hybrid cloud and on-premise integration projects utilizing API gateways and connectors.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (like Git), and DevOps tools for API management.

Solid understanding of enterprise security protocols, encryption, authentication mechanisms, and identity management.

Domain experience or understanding of Smart Grid and Utility industry standards (e.g., IEC 61850, SCADA, AMI, etc.) is considered an added advantage.
Certifications (Mandatory)
To ensure technical excellence, the following certifications are required:
