As a Quality Assurance Engineer II, you will play a critical role in maintaining software integrity and performance by meticulously executing quality assurance processes. This role demands a robust understanding of manual testing methodologies, experience with Facets claims and billing modules, and exposure to the U.S. healthcare regulatory ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the QA Engineering team, your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Test Planning and Execution

Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans, including functional, integration, and system testing.

Conduct manual testing across software modules to ensure compliance with business requirements.

Track and manage test cases and defects through end-to-end quality assurance cycles.
2. Quality Assurance Methodology

Apply structured software testing methodologies to assess application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Work with teams to define testing strategies that align with Agile and DevOps practices.

Ensure all QA processes comply with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
3. Tool Utilization

Proficient use of HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), formerly known as HP Quality Center, for test case management and defect tracking.

Leverage tools such as AGM (Application Governance & Management) to streamline quality assurance operations.

Exposure to automation frameworks such as NUnit, Selenium, and White is considered a strong plus.
4. Database Management and Querying

Utilize DBMS platforms like Microsoft SQL Server (MSQL), Oracle, and Sybase to validate backend data integrity.

Design and execute SQL queries to support end-to-end testing and identify data discrepancies.
5. Domain-Specific Testing (Facets & U.S. Healthcare)

Special emphasis on experience with the Facets platform, particularly within Claims and Billing modules.

Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare processes, terminology, and regulatory compliance is mandatory.

Collaborate with product managers and developers to interpret healthcare use cases and translate them into test scenarios.
6. Agile and Collaborative Work

Work in Agile Scrum environments, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Coordinate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to ensure consistent delivery.

Maintain documentation standards aligned with Agile reporting and sprint cycles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 7 years of QA experience, particularly in software validation and manual testing.

Proficiency in manual testing tools and practices with the ability to write detailed test cases and documentation.

Strong experience with HP ALM and other test management suites.

Demonstrated knowledge of the Facets system, especially in Claims and Billing functionalities.
