Role Overview: AVS Consultant
As an AVS Consultant, you will be a part of the AVS Consultant Program, focusing on enhancing Amazon’s partnership with external vendors. Your role is pivotal in aligning Amazon’s long-term growth with vendor success. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in high-energy settings, are adept at stakeholder engagement, and excel in problem-solving using data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
The AVS Consultant will drive vendor performance and operational excellence by delivering data-backed insights, building long-term business relationships, and coordinating improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Business Partner Collaboration

Serve as the primary liaison between Amazon and its external vendors.

Understand the strategic objectives, performance drivers, and key metrics of vendor partners.

Build trust through consistent, professional communication and proactive support.
2. Data-Driven Decision Support

Dive deep into vendor-related challenges by collecting and analyzing data to generate actionable insights.

Leverage data tools and dashboards to help vendors make informed business decisions and optimize their offerings.
3. Program Coordination and Communication

Oversee and streamline the vendor onboarding and integration journey with Amazon.

Use structured agendas and communication frameworks to set expectations and align operational priorities.

Facilitate vendor meetings, workshops, and reviews to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
4. Project Management

Identify, scope, and lead small-to-medium scale initiatives that enhance vendor experiences and improve efficiency.

Develop clear project briefs, timelines, and stakeholder management strategies.

Ensure that projects are scalable and can be adapted for broader regional or EU implementation.
5. Issue Resolution and Operational Excellence

Act as a central point of contact for offshore and local teams, escalating and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Record solutions and create structured process documentation to maintain knowledge consistency and support standardized workflows.

Audit service quality and identify root causes of operational inefficiencies to drive long-term improvements.
6. Innovation and Testing

Collaborate on catalogue pilot programs and contribute to testing new Amazon tools and initiatives.

Act as a center of excellence, suggesting innovative approaches to enhance catalog quality and seller performance.
7. Risk Management and Compliance

Operate with a strong sense of ownership, confidentiality, and sound judgment.

Evaluate operational risks and contribute to developing mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
8. Cross-Team Collaboration

Share best practices, documentation, and updates with internal Amazon teams across regions.

Work closely with EU peers, local stakeholders, and leadership teams to drive alignment and performance.
9. Stakeholder Engagement

Provide prompt and accurate updates to both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring effective issue resolution.

Maintain a high bar for responsiveness and professionalism, and escalate matters when needed.
Basic Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following foundational requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in program or project management.

Demonstrated ability to use data for business decision-making.

Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation and practical experience in vendor management, data handling, and back-office operations:

Proficiency in SQL and Advanced Excel (especially array and statistical functions).

Experience in back-office operations, issue escalation, and root cause analysis.
