Role Summary
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless functioning of development and production environments. This involves maintaining and supporting software products and configured services operating on a variety of platforms. You will be expected to perform both remote and onsite support, conduct hardware and software troubleshooting, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize system performance.
The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, an understanding of cloud infrastructure and scripting, and a commitment to improving the reliability, scalability, and security of critical IT systems.
Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance & Support:
Provide continuous support for development and production systems, both onsite and remotely, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. -
Troubleshooting (L1 & L2):
Perform basic and intermediate level diagnostics and issue resolution for software, hardware, and network-related problems. -
Service Reliability:
Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to enhance system availability, reduce operational toil, and automate manual tasks. -
Operating System-Level Implementation:
Support technology implementation across server and network areas, including configuration and patch management. -
Technical Escalation Handling:
Handle incident response and escalation procedures efficiently to meet predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). -
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:
Actively participate in team discussions, provide mentorship to junior team members, and contribute innovative ideas for process improvement. -
Automation & Scripting:
Utilize scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate routine infrastructure tasks and streamline processes. -
Monitoring & Performance Tuning:
Set up and manage monitoring tools and metrics to proactively detect performance issues and take corrective actions.
Professional Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering practices

Familiarity with system performance tuning techniques and diagnostic tools

Competence in incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution workflows

Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
-
Experience in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

Ability to write and manage scripts for task automation (Shell, Python, or other scripting languages)
Good to Have:

Exposure to container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes

Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk

Awareness of DevOps and Agile methodologies
