Role Summary

The Cyber Security Analyst – L4 is responsible for proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks to uphold the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of digital assets. This role plays a central part in incident response, threat detection, forensic analysis, and risk mitigation while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors.

The ideal candidate should possess advanced analytical capabilities, operational expertise in security systems, and the ability to respond effectively to escalated incidents. The position involves working in a 24×7 rotational shift model and requires a hands-on approach to cybersecurity monitoring and incident handling.

Key Responsibilities

Cyber Threat Monitoring & Incident Response

• Continuously monitor security systems for signs of cyber intrusions, unauthorized access, unusual activity, or potential data breaches.

• Analyze logs and conduct forensic investigations to identify patterns, root causes, and attack vectors.

• Handle escalated incidents from Level 1 (L1) teams with prompt and efficient resolution in a 24×7 shift environment.

• Leverage cutting-edge analytics technologies and methodologies to proactively identify, anticipate, and address evolving cybersecurity threats and system vulnerabilities.

Security Operations & Log Management

• Ensure comprehensive monitoring of security logs, system events, and access controls.

• Perform detailed log reviews and threat hunting to uncover suspicious behaviors and mitigate risks in real time.

• Maintain robust documentation of all incidents, actions taken, and follow-up activities to support compliance and audit readiness.

Risk Assessment & Security Audits

• Conduct regular risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, and impact analysis to identify areas of improvement in the organization’s security landscape.

• Support internal and external audits by maintaining an up-to-date information security risk register.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and auditors to close gaps and align practices with global standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.

Remediation & Preventive Measures

• Propose and implement corrective actions to remediate identified vulnerabilities.

• Develop root cause analysis reports and dashboards to support executive decision-making and compliance tracking.

• Work alongside IT and DevOps teams to ensure system hardening, secure configuration, and implementation of security patches.

Training & Awareness

• Assist in creating and delivering cybersecurity awareness programs and workshops for employees across all departments.

• Provide guidance on safe computing practices, email threat identification, phishing mitigation, and secure data handling.

• Act as a point of contact for employees seeking advice on cybersecurity issues, including spam, malicious links, or unauthorized access attempts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Liaise with business stakeholders to provide updates on security posture, threat intelligence, and improvement plans.

• Prepare incident summary reports and deliver executive-level dashboards for decision-makers.

• Collaborate with IT leadership and compliance teams to ensure alignment between business goals and security strategies.
