Role Overview

Cognizant is seeking a seasoned Infra Dev Specialist with 8 to 9 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow ecosystems including TSM (IT Service Management), CMDB (Configuration Management Database), CSDM (Common Service Data Model), and ITOM (IT Operations Management). This role is pivotal in streamlining infrastructure development, optimizing service operations, and ensuring seamless management of IT assets and configurations.

As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will lead infrastructure initiatives, mentor junior team members, and ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards. You will serve as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between IT operations and strategic business goals through efficient ServiceNow implementations.


Key Responsibilities

1. ServiceNow Platform Leadership

  • Spearhead the implementation, customization, and management of ServiceNow TSM to drive automation and efficiency across IT service management workflows.

  • Maintain and enhance CMDB/CSDM frameworks to ensure accurate visibility of IT assets, services, and their interdependencies.

  • Leverage ServiceNow ITOM tools to automate event management, operational intelligence, and infrastructure discovery.

2. Infrastructure Optimization

  • Lead initiatives to identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, aligning systems performance with organizational goals.

  • Monitor infrastructure health and performance, proactively implementing changes for optimized output.

3. Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate extensively with solution architects, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to gather technical requirements and implement scalable, high-performance infrastructure solutions.

  • Provide status reports, documentation, and KPIs to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and data-driven decisions.

4. Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering adherence to industry best practices in infrastructure engineering and effective ServiceNow platform management.

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to build team capability in ITSM, CMDB, and ITOM.

5. Audits & Compliance

  • Perform periodic audits and system evaluations to ensure compliance with regulations, uphold data integrity, and strengthen overall operational reliability.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all configuration items (CIs), processes, and policies.

  • Possess 8 to 9 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, specializing in the implementation and management of ServiceNow platforms and related technologies.

  • Extensive proficiency in ServiceNow modules, including TSM, CMDB/CSDM, and ITOM, with a strong ability to configure and optimize each for enterprise IT operations.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and service lifecycle management.

  • Proven capability to manage complex projects while efficiently handling multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

  • Skilled in optimizing system performance, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing automation to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
