Position Overview

Deloitte India is currently seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Deputy Manager – PMO within the Global Tax & Legal Strategic Priorities Support Hub (GTL SPSH), based in Hyderabad. This strategic position demands a leader with robust project management expertise, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a consultative approach to guide strategic global initiatives. The selected candidate will work directly with senior leadership, delivering high-impact reports and analyses that influence the direction of Deloitte’s Tax & Legal operations globally.


Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Project Management

  • Drive and manage the lifecycle of complex strategic projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee multiple projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.
  • Provide leadership and direction to junior team members throughout all project phases.

2. Strategic Analysis & Business Advisory

  • Develop insights and recommendations through data analysis, reporting, and research.
  • Offer strategic input to senior leadership (including Sr. Managers and PPMDs) to drive business decisions.
  • Analyze market trends to determine their implications for Deloitte’s Tax & Legal growth strategy.

3. Team Management & Capacity Building

  • Train and mentor new hires; design onboarding materials, training plans, and practical case studies.
  • Conduct performance management and guide junior team members toward continuous improvement.
  • Delegate responsibilities strategically based on individual strengths and team capacity.

4. Quality Control & Operational Efficiency

  • Ensure deliverables meet high standards of quality while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Standardize deliverables by referencing SOPs and implement process automation to enhance productivity.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement across the team.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic liaison between GTL SPSH and global teams across Deloitte member firms.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to understand evolving needs and provide solutions.

6. Communication & Reporting

  • Create compelling, data-driven reports and presentations using PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, and other tools.
  • Present project progress, challenges, and insights to leadership in a clear and professional manner.

The Global Tax & Legal Strategic Priority Support Hub (GTL SPSH) is a dynamic, multi-functional team dedicated to enabling Deloitte’s strategic goals. The team provides robust support in project management, analytics, research, marketing, and communication to the Global Tax & Legal business. Their contributions are instrumental in driving transformation, enhancing operational excellence, and enabling global expansion across key regions.


Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in any discipline.

Experience:

  • 7–9 years of relevant experience in project management, strategic planning, or consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects under tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite—Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
