Overview

Accenture, a global leader in consulting and technology services, is inviting experienced professionals to join its dynamic team in Hyderabad as an Application Developer – SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting. This role is positioned at the Associate Manager level and requires a strategic mindset, robust SAP FI knowledge, and the ability to bridge technical and business processes. The ideal candidate will design, configure, and manage applications tailored to enhance business efficiency, accuracy in financial reporting, and operational performance.

Role Summary

As an Application Developer, your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and configure enterprise-level applications that align with client-specific business needs. Leveraging the SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting module, you will play a critical role in creating seamless workflows, enabling financial transparency, and ensuring compliance with both internal and regulatory standards.

This position requires hands-on expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), strong analytical capabilities, and effective team leadership skills. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME), leading solution delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that every solution meets the highest standards of functionality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Architect, develop, and configure SAP FI S/4HANA applications to support core financial business processes, ensuring scalability and compliance.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate feasibility, and deliver customized SAP solutions.

  • SME Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert within the SAP FI/CO domain, offering insights and solutions on complex financial requirements.

  • Team Management: Guide and manage junior developers and consultants. Take ownership of key technical decisions and promote a collaborative team environment.

  • Cross-Functional Integration: Coordinate with other SAP module experts to ensure robust and efficient integration between SAP FI and other modules such as MM, SD, and CO.

  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline financial operations.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation for all configurations and developments. Ensure compliance with project governance and audit requirements.

  • Problem Solving: Provide resolution to system or process issues in a timely manner, leveraging both technical know-how and business acumen.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions to empower internal teams and enhance organizational capability.

  • Project Monitoring: Track project progress, manage risk, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables aligned with business expectations.

Technical Skills Required

Must-Have Expertise:

  • SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience in Financial Accounting and Controlling in the S/4HANA environment.

  • SAP FI-CO Modules: Strong command over sub-modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting (BA).

  • Financial Reporting: Ability to configure and support financial statements, cost center accounting, profit center reporting, and other statutory and management reports.

  • Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with integration scenarios between SAP FI and other functional modules (e.g., MM, SD, HCM).

  • Requirement Analysis: Proficient in translating complex business requirements into functional and technical SAP configurations.

Additional Capabilities:

  • Application Development Methodologies: Experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies for software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize SAP FI/CO configurations and custom developments.

  • Project Tools & Technologies: Exposure to SAP Solution Manager, SAP Activate, and ticketing tools like ServiceNow or JIRA.

  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and leadership.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7.5 years of relevant experience in SAP FI/CO module, with at least 2 end-to-end implementations in an S/4HANA environment.
