Role Overview: Officer – Finance & Accounts

L&T is seeking experienced and driven finance professionals for the role of Officer – Finance & Accounts at its Bangalore location. This is a strategic role in the finance department, with a focus on ensuring seamless asset management, receivable monitoring, and financial compliance, while leveraging SAP and advanced tools like Excel and Power BI.


Key Responsibilities

As an Officer – Finance & Accounts, you will play a vital role in the financial ecosystem of the Construction and Mining Machinery vertical. Key responsibilities include:

Fixed Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including purchases, transfers, disposals, and depreciation.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal asset capitalization policies.

  • Conduct periodic audits and physical verification of assets.

  • Reconcile asset registers with general ledger accounts.

Receivables and Collections

  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collections and accurate aging reports.

  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams for resolution of billing disputes and overdue invoices.

  • Prepare collection forecasts and follow-up schedules.

  • Reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve working capital efficiency.

Insurance and Risk Management

  • Liaise with insurers and internal stakeholders to maintain appropriate insurance coverage for company assets and operations.

  • Ensure timely renewals and documentation of policies including asset, transit, liability, and employee-related insurance.

  • Assist in claims processing and tracking of recoveries.

Bank Guarantees (Inward)

  • Handle inward bank guarantees efficiently, ensuring documentation compliance and proper validation.

  • Maintain accurate logs of guarantees received and initiate appropriate follow-ups.

  • Coordinate with banks and legal teams to ensure alignment with contractual terms.

SAP – Financial Accounting (FI) Module

  • Utilize SAP-FI module for entries, reconciliation, reporting, and master data management.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

  • Generate MIS reports and dashboards as required by management.

Advanced Excel & Reporting

  • Create and manage dynamic financial models, pivot tables, and dashboards using MS Excel.

  • Prepare management reports for reviews, audits, and performance analysis.

Power BI – Preferable

  • Leverage Power BI expertise to create dynamic dashboards and visual reports that enhance data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaborate with analytics teams to enhance reporting standards.


Who Should Apply?

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within a manufacturing, engineering, or capital goods company.

  • Must hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Proficiency in SAP FI Module, MS Excel, and familiarity with Power BI is an added advantage.
