Role Overview
As a Quality Engineer, you will oversee all aspects of quality control and assurance within civil construction activities. You will ensure that every process and output aligns with engineering codes, standards, and client expectations, maintaining the highest levels of safety and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
1. Civil Works Site Execution and Supervision
Lead the execution and supervision of all civil works at the project site. Ensure that construction activities are performed efficiently, adhering to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
2. Site Coordination
Coordinate effectively among all stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and internal teams, to guarantee smooth operations on-site. “Effective communication and persuasive negotiation abilities are crucial for harmonizing the varied interests of stakeholders and steering them toward shared project goals.”
3. Quality Control and SOP Implementation

4. Engineering Codes and Standards Compliance

6. Workmanship and Safety Standards

7. Collaboration with Engineering Teams

8. Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect, analyze, and summarize data from various quality inspections and tests. Prepare detailed reports on quality performance metrics and provide actionable insights for continuous quality improvements.
9. Cost Estimation and Innovative Solutions
Assist in cost estimations, identifying areas where innovative construction methods can be applied to optimize resources and improve project efficiency. Encourage and contribute to value engineering initiatives.
10. Quality Monitoring and Inspection Test Plans
Create and oversee Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) to methodically assess and validate quality throughout different stages of the construction process. Guarantee comprehensive documentation of inspections and address any non-conformities in a timely manner.
11. SOP Compliance and Quality Checklists
Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Checking protocols. Utilize TraQ checklists to monitor and document quality processes systematically, thereby maintaining consistent quality standards across the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech/BE) in Civil Engineering or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
Experience:
9 to 11 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control roles within the construction sector, preferably in large-scale real estate or infrastructure projects.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, and legal regulations.
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools and software.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
