Experience Requirements
Candidates should possess 10 to 12 years of proven experience in managing network infrastructures, cybersecurity frameworks, and large-scale IT deployments. A deep understanding of LAN/WAN engineering, network migration, security audits, and troubleshooting is essential.
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: Post Graduate Diploma in Systems Management or equivalent in a related technical field.
Core Competencies and Technical Expertise
Network Hardware Proficiency
- Extensive hands-on experience with high-end network switches and routers, including:
- Cisco models: 3560, 3850, 2960, 9300
- Aruba models: 2930F, 3810M, 6100, 6300F, 6300M, 6410, 6200
- Arista Switches: 7050SX, 7050TX3
- HP FlexFabric Switches: 5945, 5500, 2530
- Mastery in configuring and maintaining Cisco and HP Routers such as MSR1003 and MSR4060.
- Expertise in deploying and managing switch stacks (Cat3850, Cisco 9300).
Network Management and Monitoring Tools
- Advanced operational knowledge of network management platforms, including:
- Aruba Central
- PRTG Network Monitor
- SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
- Strong capabilities in network engineering, implementation, and maintenance.
Protocols and Network Configuration
- Proficient in the configuration and troubleshooting of:
- VLANs (Virtual LANs)
- STP (Spanning Tree Protocol)
- HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol)
- EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol)
- OSPF (Open Shortest Path First)
- BGP (Border Gateway Protocol)
- VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol)
- Static Routing
- Skilled in Load Balancing and High Availability protocol deployments.
Troubleshooting and Debugging Skills
- Extensive experience in network issue diagnosis and resolution, including:
- Identifying and addressing problems at the Physical (Layer 1) and Data Link (Layer 2) levels.
- Layer 3 (Network Layer) switching configurations and troubleshooting.
- High CPU utilization analysis and mitigation.
- Static routing issues across multi-vendor environments.
- STP, VLAN, VTP, trunk configurations, and error recovery.
- Advanced debugging skills using:
- Wireshark Packet Analysis
- Log Analysis Tools
Network Security Expertise
- Conduct comprehensive security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Implement and manage upgrades of:
- Cisco Switches and Routers
- Fortigate Firewalls
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed network topology diagrams and documentation.
- Perform rigorous end-to-end device troubleshooting to ensure network integrity and security compliance.

- Successfully deployed Aruba Central network solutions at Cairn India Ltd.
- Directed network migration projects with minimal downtime and ensured a seamless transition.
- Led the upgrade and modernization of legacy network infrastructures, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.

- Disaster Recovery Planning:
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans specific to IT and cybersecurity functions.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of network configurations, updates, and changes.
- Generate analytical reports and present findings to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership:
- Guide and mentor a team of network engineers and cybersecurity analysts.
