- Junior Stenographer: 18 to 27 years as of 30th May 2025.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: Must be between 18 and 28 years of age as on 30th May 2025.

Educational Qualification
- Junior Stenographer:
- 10+2 / Matriculation + XII or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Stenography:
- Dictation speed: 80 w.p.m.
- Transcription: 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi) as per DoPT norms.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (General/Finance & Accounts/Store & Purchase):
- 10+2 / Matriculation + XII or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Computer Typing:
- English typing speed: 35 w.p.m.
- Hindi typing speed: 30 w.p.m.
CSIR-NML Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
- Competitive Written Examination:
- Conducted via OMR Sheet or Computer-Based Test (CBT) with Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Proficiency Test:
- For Junior Stenographer: Stenography test (qualifying in nature).
- For Junior Secretariat Assistant: Computer Typing Test (qualifying in nature).
- Merit List:
- The final selection will be determined by candidates’ performance in the written examination.
