Role Responsibilities
As a key member of the design team, the selected candidate will actively contribute to the following tasks:
- Develop and revise 2D technical drawings and 3D product models using industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Fusion 360, or Creo.
- Support senior engineers in preparing layouts for mechanical assemblies, enclosures, PCBs, and electromechanical systems.
- Convert initial design concepts, sketches, or verbal instructions into accurate and detailed engineering drawings.
- Take part in design discussions and review sessions, incorporate feedback, and apply necessary design updates.
- Collaborate with the R&D, production, and quality assurance departments to validate design feasibility and ensure alignment with technical specifications.
- Organize and manage design files with proper version control protocols.
- Adhere to established standards and procedures related to layout accuracy, dimensioning, and tolerance requirements.
Educational & Skill Requirements
Qualification:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (BE/B.Tech) in one of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Mechatronics and Automation
- Electrical Instrumentation Engineering
- Electronics Engineering (IoT specialization)
- Biomedical Engineering (E&C)
- Electric Vehicles / Manufacturing / Automotive Engineering
Technical Skills:
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, SketchUp, or Fusion 360.
- Fundamental knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modeling principles.
- Understanding of tolerance standards, mechanical/electrical design rules, and version management.
- Knowledge of product design cycle and component layout strategies.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and analytical problem-solving ability.
Soft Skills:
