Overview of the Role: Compensation Analyst / Associate

As a Compensation Analyst / Associate, you will be a key contributor in administering and enhancing compensation programs across J.P. Morgan’s Asset and Wealth Management divisions. You’ll partner closely with HR, Finance, and line management to ensure compensation decisions are well-informed, aligned with market standards, and contribute to talent retention and motivation.

Key Functional Areas:

  • Annual compensation planning and process coordination

  • Internal and external compensation data analysis

  • HR support in compensation actions including hiring, transfers, and promotions

  • Policy updates and compensation systems improvement

  • Contribution to EMEA-wide compensation strategies


Core Responsibilities

1. Annual Compensation Planning & Administration
You will help coordinate the firm’s annual compensation review process. This includes ensuring data accuracy, maintaining documentation, and providing timely communication and guidance to HR partners and business managers across divisions.

2. Compensation Decision Support
Be the go-to expert for providing input on compensation decisions such as salary benchmarking, internal equity checks, and market alignment for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers.

3. Market Survey Analysis
You’ll participate in external compensation surveys, gather benchmarking data, and evaluate trends to inform the company’s competitive positioning and reward structure.

4. Project-Based Assignments
Assist in compensation-related projects such as reviewing policies, updating internal systems, and automating reporting mechanisms. Your insights will support the evolution of reward strategies that reflect both regional market demands and global business goals.

5. Reporting & Analytics
You’ll learn and master compensation data tools, enabling you to produce insightful dashboards and reports. From Excel-based models to integrated HRIS platforms, your analysis will drive informed decision-making and workforce strategy alignment.

6. EMEA Compensation Agenda Contribution
Work closely with regional compensation teams to support EMEA-specific planning, compliance, and compensation governance initiatives.
