This role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead associate-level marketing managers (AMMs), drive operational excellence, and work cross-functionally to ensure an exceptional customer experience across Amazon marketplaces worldwide.
As a Marketing Manager, you will lead a team of 10–15 L4 Associate Marketing Managers (AMMs) involved in content management, catalog quality, supply chain defect elimination, and marketing-related process improvements. You will work closely with Amazon’s Retail teams, program teams, internal global stakeholders, and external partners to ensure Amazon’s product detail pages are accurate, compelling, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Manage and mentor a team of L4 AMMs, ensuring high engagement, productivity, and performance.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help direct reports grow their leadership and functional skills.
- Plan and execute strategies to attract, retain, and develop top marketing talent.
- Define individual performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement by establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with catalog accuracy, customer experience, and marketing goals.
- Identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Ensure operational metrics such as utilization, quality, and accuracy meet or exceed expectations.
- Build scalable process solutions through documentation, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Marketing & Content Operations
- Oversee execution of content updates and detail page enhancements for products across Amazon’s global catalog.
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to align brand vision with operational delivery.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to prioritize projects and ensure timely delivery.
- Support marketing teams by eliminating catalog defects and improving content quality.
Cross-functional Program Support
- Liaise with vendor managers, retail business teams, product managers, and tech teams to support automation, product development, and campaign execution.
- Design and implement marketing programs and experiments to enhance conversion rates and user engagement.
- Align process workflows with global standards and Amazon’s best practices.
Data-driven Decision Making
- Leverage tools like Excel and Tableau to extract, interpret, and present data.
- Use analytical insights to refine operational processes and develop business cases for process improvements.
- Conduct root cause analyses to eliminate catalog-related issues and support the creation of preventive programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in marketing (excluding internships).
- At least 3 years of experience managing teams, preferably within content management or marketing operations.
- Proven ability to use data and performance metrics to drive improvements.
- Demonstrated expertise in cross-functional program execution and stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience with Excel (including pivot tables, charts, macros) and familiarity with Tableau or other business intelligence tools.
- Strong understanding of brand experience and the ability to work with creative teams to bring it to life.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customer segmentation and persona development.
- Background in conducting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
- Experience managing catalog accuracy and content integrity at scale.
- Familiarity with e-commerce metrics, digital marketing tools, and A/B testing methodologies.
